U.S. Bank stopped accepting applications for the Kroger family of co-brand cards around May 11, 2026 (reports that U.S. Bank is ending its Kroger relationship), and announced in July 2026 that existing Kroger cards will be converted to the U.S. Bank Smartly 2% card with balances, credit limits and rewards transferring over; no conversion date was given, so the 5%/2%/1% structure may end soon. Earn structure dates from the Nov 2021 revamp: 5% mobile wallet on up to $3,000 in spend, 2% at the Kroger Family of Companies, 1% elsewhere, no annual fee. Former welcome offers ($100 after $500 spend, or a 55c/gal fuel-points boost) are no longer available. Foreign transaction fee, cell phone protection and delivery/Boost perks were not re-verified.
